MOUNTAIN BIKING: All American Trail

← NC BIG SHOE HEEL CREEK LAURINBURG NC Single Tracks →

Description

The All American Trail is a unpaved pathway designed for use by hikers, runners, and bicycles. The trail follows the perimeter boundary of Fort Bragg through North Carolina's Sandhills Region. The terrain is mixed with sections that range from nearly flat to fairly hilly. A noteworthy section of trail, currently being constructed, will be a 1,000 feet boardwalk that crosses Rockfish Creek and its wetlands. The All American Trail will eventually circumnavigate the entire boundary of Fort Bragg (app. 70 miles in length) and extend through Cumberland, Hoke, Moore, and Harnett Counties.

Directions

From Fayetteville take US-401 toward Raeford. Continue on US-401 for 8.9 miles after crossing the Hoke county line. Turn right on to Vass Rd. at the flashing 4-way signal light. Follow Vass Rd. for 3.3 miles, parking and trail head are on the right just before the gate.
